It’s time for another edition of Tail-Ends, where I give those who might have missed them the first time a second chance at the best of the best of the previous month’s posts and projects. Four top projects for four Chester paws!
And if that’s not enough Pies & Puggles for you, keep in mind that you can also follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram!
DIY Upcycled Striped Trash Can
I put this upcycled trash can project together for the Ditto DIY Challenge at View Along the Way. There are just a couple more projects to do in the bath before that update is totally complete!
This month I also got a brand-new camera and I’ve been busy playing with it ever since. I have a lot to learn, but the tripod and remote are probably the least expensive investment in good photography that I could have possibly made. Thanks again to my parents, Doug’s parents and Doug for my early birthday present!
Lessons from Appraisers at Antiques Roadshow
Speaking of the new camera, the reason we went ahead with the purchase last month even though my birthday isn’t until this month was that I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit a taping of Antiques Roadshow in Richmond. I learned a lot!
I found this chair at my local Goodwill for just $10. I fixed the shellac finish and did dip-dye style feet and top in light blue. It’s my new favorite chair!
So that’s August wrapped up at Pies & Puggles. What did you do last month?
I just did some dipped legs myself! I'm not tired of this trend yet! Your camera post reminds me that I need a camera strap before I go on vacation in a couple days. That one is super cute, but I'll probably have to hack something since I don't have time to wait on shipping.
I'll have to go find your dipped leg post. I just think it's so clever and unexpected!
I love that chair! So not tired of this trend yet either!
